REGISTRATION FOR 2024-2025 SEASON WILL OPEN IN MAY 2024

Welcome to our CMP 2023-2024 season! Registration must be completed by September 11, 2023. There is a $200 registration fee that will cover 15 chamber rehearsals with a chamber coach, masterclasses with the Fry Street Quartet and Weber State faculty members, recitals, the CMP competition and the final mega concert

REQUIREMENTS

• Participating students must be in 6th grade or older for the 2023-2024 school year
• String Students are strongly encouraged to participate in school orchestra program
• Students must have at least 2 years of playing experience on their string instrument
• All students participating in CMP are required to be enrolled in private lessons
• Students must play at Suzuki Book 3 level or above
• Students must audition on their instrument to demonstrate playing level and ability

Students will be assigned to a chamber ensemble and coach based on playing level, age, school, and program availability. Students are encouraged to sign up in pre-arranged groups, but it is not required. All grouping requests will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed. Rehearsals will be scheduled based on your group's availability, however, we are encouraging all CMP groups to hold rehearsals on Thursdays if possible.

Please follow ALL the steps below to register for the 2023-2024 season

        Step 1: Fill out registration form (no payments are due until student has been accepted)

        Step 2: Sign up for an audition time at the following link:

                    Piano auditions will be held separately on September 16, 10:00-11:00 AM

        Step 3: Prepare the following for your audition:

• Solo piece (equivalent to Suzuki Book 3 or higher, but does not need to be Suzuki repertoire)
• Two or Three octave scale of your choice
• You will be asked to sight-read

        Step 4: Please print and have your private teacher fill out the private teacher recommendation form below. Bring to your audition in a sealed envelope

        Step 5: Put the following required events in your calendar. Some dates are still waiting on confirmation. We will send those when they are available.
